With the energy crisis rising, the world highly focuses on the heat pump technology as new energy technology. Heat pump can transfer 3-4 times energy from lowgrade heat source to high grade one. So in fact the heat pump is an energy upgrad-ing device which consumes less energy during working but gets 4-7 times energy from the environment medium (water, air and soil and etc).
The heat pump therefore has much wider future in industrial field. lt will increase the whole plant efficiency, save the energy and reduce the emission by using the steam injection, absorption and motor driven type heat pump to utilize the energy from low temperature exhaust heat steam or the heat water discharged into the river. For example energy transfer efficiency of a plant is 38.07%. lf the combined heat, generation and cooling system or Total Energy System (TES) is used for this plant, the utilization rate will be respectively 80%—85%, 150%—170% and 65%—80% by gas engine driven heat pump (GEHP) , shaft driven heat pump and TES.
